I've burned dvds plenty of times using nch expressburn. suddenly, after a successful burn, the sound when i play it is nothing but static. I can play a store bought dvd and it sounds fine. I'm playing them back on a pc. I tried 3 other softwares and still have the issue. i installed the latest k-lite codec pack because Ashampoo needed it to be able to accept one stubborn mp4 file.. what has happened guys; i've wasted 9 blanks so far. thank you!

Your choice of burning software (ie the free stuff) leaves a lot to be desired.
Give trial version of Nero Burning ROM 2014 a spin and see how that goes.
