Hi all,

I am planning to buy a gaming laptop(please no "laptops aren't for gaming" and such comments), my budget is around £900 and the laptop named XMG A704 that i have configured (link below) is for £820.

Please tell me if this laptop is good enough to play most of the games on decent settings, or if i should make any changes to the specs. Also, are XMG laptops good overall?

Thanks.

I'll start with "most laptops aren't for gaming" :p

Yours, however, seems a good start at one.

Comments:
What about an OS?
Maybe go for a 7200rpm drive instead of the 5400rpm drive

Are XMG any good? I don't know. My own gaming laptop is made by Clevo, they make the chassis and mainboard for resellers to custom build with drives, grapoihcs cards and processors and rebrand as their own. I suspect yours might be the same. I had never heard of Clevo until my local Kustom PC shop introduced me to them but the gamebook I have seems decent enough.

Doesn't 7200rpm suck up battery faster? Regardless, i will keep it plugged in all the time, so no worries there.
