Hey ppl i have a sony vaio
Intel core 15 2.50ghz 2450m
4 GB DDR3 RAM
intel HD 3000/AMD Radeon HD7670m 1GB
640 GB HDD
Earlier i play games like assassin's Creed, call of duty black ops 2,Batman arkham origins etc....all on high setting.....but now my system is not giving me the same performance like before...i have also set to high performance in catalyst control but still did not help
also i have unplayable fps in borderlands 2 even on the lowest settings.....even games like age of empires 3 is lagging like hell....even my windows index rating came down to 4.7 from 5.9...any help will be awesome :)...also i'm currently using amd 13.5 beta 2 drivers.
PS:I did change my ac adapter to 3.9 amps from 4.9 amps but i doubt thats the problem because all games lag even on the lowest settings in battery mode(i mean even age of empires 3)

I think the problem you're encountering here is heat throttling. You can download CoreTemp or SpeedFan to monitor your temps. If your temps go above 80C, you'll likely need to disassemble the laptop to clean the fans and vents - blowing compressed air into the vents will do little to help at this point but may temporarily help some as would the use of a cooling pad. If temps are high you will still need to physically clean the laptop (or take it to a local shop for that service).
Check your temps, report back on what you find

I downloaded SpeedFan as you said.....my temp does not exceed 70C even under high performance gaming mode(i.e while playing games).....remains 45-50C under standby

under standby,while gaming respectively

One thing I noticed in SpeedFan is that your HD7670M is not showing up - go into hardware manager and see that the 7670 shows up and no warnings are with it.
This article may be of some help http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03048374&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en (ignore that it's from HP, shouldn't matter).
Another thing that seems to have helped others is the use of drivers from leshcatlabs.net - something you may want to look into
