Bought an Apple Adapter to connect with an HDMI cable to my television (emerson lc391em3) earlier to connect my ipad to my television, now I'm looking at my standard channels on my television and every single channel flickers or is very staticky. I thought it might be the adapter and/or cable, so I took those both out of the tv. However, this problem persists and apparently, has affected another television (same brand) in a different room that I never used the cable and adapter with. I have no idea what the problem is, and haven't can't seem to figure out what to do.

I don't think I understand? It's not running it, the television is plugged up into the wall etc as it has been for the past year, and it's been working fine. I just got an adapter and cable to be able to connect my ipad to television in order to watch netflix and all that on my television. Nothing's been unplugged from my television in order to do this. My television was working fine, as was the other one in my house, until I did this today.

I know this will likely make you frustrated with me, but I don't understand how that affects anything? My iPads working fine, I followed tutorials on connecting the iPad to my HDTV through HDMI with an apple digital av adapter. It was working fine, I watched two Netflix movies perfectly, but after I unhooked my ipad and the adapter and hdmi cable and flipped through the channels on my emerson television , I noticed on my standard channels that everything is flickering and staticky all of a sudden. I don't understand how it has anything to do with the graphical processor on the ipad when there's thousands of other people doing it without issue?

Again, sorry for the headache.
