Crackling in headset.

It might be that it's either a bad driver, or there's some particle stuck on to the driver.
Or it could be a bad soundcard.
Had the same problem with a couple of headphones...
You might want to try a sine sweep and see if you can hear it there

try plugging the headset into a different port. if you are using the front then try the back connection or vice versa.
(tests to see if your port is the issue)
also try using a different computer or other device such as ipod with a 3.5mm output to see if it occurs
(tests if your pc is the issue or if its contained in the headset)
wiggle the cord and see if that seems to make it crackle more or less
(tests if its a loose wire or wire break)
try turning the volume lower than your current limit or higher. does it crackle more or less?
(tests how bad the damage is to your headphones or if your soundcard is having issues)
if none of the above turn out to be the culprits then you may have damage to the drivers in your headphones.
(tests to see if your port is the issue)
