Please install these FF:
if your using XP Pro Edition 32bit
1. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=29 (Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) )
this is for MSVCP90.DLL error
2. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=5582 (Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) ).
This is for mfc90u.dll since you will encounter it after you install the step 1.

I have the same problem and solve by installing the above step. hope it help

:) nezky

I running W8 SP1 64 and I got similar error after I ran update of Kies and I could nor after that run the Kies3 or install fresh copy of Kies, so I went to Program and Features and I pressed Change- not Uninstall. It did some process which did not help run the Kies but it helped run installation file of Kies which resolved the problem and I can run Kies3 again. Hopefully it will help with your problem too.

Brilliant! Your a genius Nezky, take a bow.

Having used previous versions of Samsung Kies without hiccup, following your two step fix I now have Kies 3 running and I'm truly relieved that I can continue using my Windows XP based system to support my new Galaxy S5. Thank you so much.

Would those downloads assist me or do I need different ones for Vista? Any help appreciated as I can't back up my phone (or anything else without Samsung USB drivers.
Cheers

I DID IT ANYWAY and it works on Vista too - THANKS!!!!

Thank you so much, it's highly appreciated indeed, you've made my day. lol Now i know why it's called XP Pro or Windows Pro, it could be for those professional procedures which Windows can’t perform during its’ massive updates? lol

It works on Vista too. Thank you so much - I had been trying to sort that out for weeks. Simple solution that works - and the downloads are from the Microsoft site, so no dodgy malware etc. Thanks again

Nezky, you are indeed a genius. Yesterday I installed Samsung's Smart Switch and when I would run the program I too got this "procedure entry point error"...a different code but ending with "...could not be located in the dynamic library msvcp90.dll." I have never seen this before. After doing research on the Internet, I came up with reinstalling Windows XP Service Pack 3. Same problem occurring. I did more research and found your solution. I stalled both Microsoft Visual C ++ patches...and walla...my eyes popped out of my head when I ran the program and it worked...error message gone. So happy after several hours I fixed this. Thank you so much. I am just wondering why I did not have this problem on one Windows XP computer but I did on another.
