I need a new laptop for programing, and I want it to be running Linux OS since it's supposed to be more flexible. I've built computers before, like the desktop I'm posting this from, but based on what I've heard building your own laptop is a pain. If that's my only option I could probably do it but I'd prefer it built elsewhere. It'll need a decent but not amazing processor, 2-3 GHz will do fine. 8 gigs of ram, and at least 800 gigabytes of storage. I hope battery life is good but in my experience there's no guarantee with that. Graphics card and screen don't matter a whole lot, I may decide to play a few games on it but so long as it can handle FTL I won't need much else. Thanks for reading.
