I recently had a friend come to me with his daughter's Toshiba Satellite c55-a5100. The screen had been broken on the inside and needed replaced. I was able to start up the computer in front of me although nothing was visible. After replacing the screen I attempted to boot up the computer but it is as though there is no power getting to the laptop. I tried removing the battery and AC cable, holding the power button for a minute, then trying again but nothing. While plugged in to the charger the charging indicator light does not even activate. Any ideas?
Hi, verify the adapter for the voltage, also the dc jack for any loose connection. The screen was cracked, maybe something else is defective also. If the problem is not the adapter or the dc jack, you will need to verify the connector for the screen, if it's properly connected.
