If you use it as a gaming notebook and never plan to use it while travelling, that kind of model is OK imho. But do think that with its 17' screen and lacking optimus (ability to switch off the nvidia card, and use intel integrated card instead, to save power), it will probably never last half a day on its battery.

Plus it is going to be really heavy...

But again, there is almost no silly notebook, only people buying the wrong notebook for their purposes...
