A friend of mine wants a ghost backup of this laptop's hard drive. To accomplish this, I need it to boot to a bootable ghost cd (or usb drive). It would not, so I figured: no problem, I'll just go into the bios and change the boot device order, or maybe I can simply access some kind of boot menu at startup.

However I'm completely unable to access either one of these. Research on Asus.com indicates the bios access key is F10 for this model. I've tried pressing it repeatedly after power on, I've tried holding it, I've tried every combination of these, I've tried it with the laptop's keyboard, I've tried it with an external keyboard. For giggles I tried ALL the F keys, the Delete key, the Insert key.

Nothing will get me into the bios or any kind of boot preference menu. It just boots to the windows 8 login screen every time.

Any ideas? Thanks much in advance!

Edit: I've also verified the F10 key (and other Function keys are physically functional... they work within windows)
