Hello everyone,
Here in my business we use 3 softwares that were made here in our country (not in US) and it's very difficult to setup and re-install. Some of those softwares doesn't even have the required support.

So recently I noticed that all the computers here were, for some reason, downwarded to Win 7 32bits. In order to fully use the computer's 6GB of RAM I need to re install Windows 7 64Bits. My concern is the software we use for payroll and our social security. Is there a software that only backs up a program or application and its configuration? Not the whole system or not just folders. I've been looking and I came across with Acronis true image. Which is very good but once you do a back up (not disk clone) and restores it will also reinstall Windows in its original state. So even if I install Win 7 64bits Acronis will get me back to 32bits after a restore from a backup. I also tried Windows Easy Transfer, Cobian Backup 11 and AOMEI Backupper.

What I want to do is to upgrade to Win 64bits and don't have to re-install and set the custom software up again. I don't know if it's possible.

Hope you can help and thanks in advance.

Yup, it’s not possible. But keep the Acronis (http://www.acronis.com images – you could still grab some info, or even restore to VMs (as long as you have Premium) so you could check stuff.
