I have:
ACER V3-771G laptom (only 1 hdmi slot)
SHARP LC-32LE244E TV
Philips 5.1 Home theather HTD5540 DVD (only 1 hdmi slot)

How can I get surround sound with this?
I am connecting laptop with HDMI to TV, and TV to Home Theather with Optical Digital Audio cable.
But all I can get is analog audio, no surround. Is seems like TV dont wanna pass 5.1 through hdmi to optical.
Is there any suggestions, how I can get surround sound?
Thanks!

You've already checked the audio output settings on the TV?

On TV in audio output settings all I can change is this:
Audio Format | Select the type of digital audio out (PCM or Auto).

Have you tried both settings? I had to switch my first Blu-ray player to PCM to get surround sound out of it. Try that setting.

Have you checked the sound output mode in the OS once you plug the HDMI cable into the television?

Some of the time, the sound mode is limited by the device the pc is plugged into. For example, I look at control panel->sound 'playback' tab in windows 7, right click on my available output devices and choose speaker setup. Because I run a displayPort connection directly to a device that only has 2 speakers, stereo is my only option for a choice.

You say your surround sound unit only has one HDMI input? Does it have HDMI video output? If so, unhook whatever you have plugged into the input of the surround receiver and plug the PC directly into the surround receiver. Do you have surround audio now? You may have to go into the laptop's 'speaker configuration' again to change this, but you should see the 5.1 option?

Option one is to try to use the HDMI ARC (audio return channel) which you have in the TV and the HTiB. This sends audio from the TV through the same HDMI cable that feeds your TV from the HTib. It may still be 2 channel.
Option two is to use one of these:

to extract the audio from the laptop before the TV. Make sure that your files are in 5.1 surround.
