Dell N5010 Motherboard Replace - 1 GB ATI to 2 GB ??

My Dell is 3 years old now and cant handle some decent games now....but the BAD NEWS is its graphics chip is blown probably...as the chip is soldered to the board i have to replace the entire board so i was thinking ....now that m replacing the entire board ... can i upgrade it to the 2 GB version of it???

Should i try this?? do you guys recommend it??

Hi. I own an N5010 myself and i know you can upgrade the CPU, RAM and HDD. The GPU however is soldered to the motherboard so you will have to go to an IT service to take it off with a special machine and replace it with a more powerful chip. BUT: The best chip available for this model is HD 5650m with 1Gb DD3 128bit. It's a bit faster than 550v. The cost of this procedure is pretty high so i don't really recommend doing it.
