So basically I need to buy a new laptop since mine has turned into garbage and I'd like a decent laptop which would be suitable for my gaming (LoL, Tomb Raider, Diablo, Dark souls, etc) as well as my future university work (going to major in Computer Science, I'll be a freshman in september), basically something to balance the two out. I've been thinking about the Lenovo y510 Ideapad since I've seen many positive reviews about it however do you think there's another laptop with the similar pricing (around $1200-1000) that would have better options or if a new laptop is coming soon with better options? I'm looking to buy the laptop this month as I need one, what do you guys think?

if it were me i'd just get the lenovo y50 - less heat, much thinner and almost as good specs.

That's the new lenovo y series right? I haven't seen it, has it been released yet?

Mmm.. I live in Dubai, Do you have any idea about when it's going to be released in Asia? I like how much thinner and lighter it is than the y510, good to take to uni when I need it

Asian market is a toughy I suppose you could wait for an online retailer like xoticpc.com to stock it and then have them ship it to you?
Where does Dubai ship to? a quick google says UAE, but ASIA? A bit confused what's happening here. (I failed geography sorry)
