Ok i have an asus k53U notebook and its screen is bleeding so i use a HDMI cable with my TV and today i was on it until the explorer process stopped working and i couldn't ahut it off via system soci turned it off with the button and now it won't come one properly and my screen is so bad i cant see whats going on and nothing is appearing on my TV no noises and the hdmi is fully connect both ways there is only one light on and i'm not too sure what it is for (it is a lightbulb) i think it means the screen is on. i have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in whilst holding the power button but same result. Sometimes a black screen with a low resolution cursor appears on my TV and stays like that for a long time i have tried ctrl+alt+delete and that won't work either please help!!! This is my only thing to keep me out of boredom!!! Thanks! If you need my specs i may be able to remembered them so just ask... Please reply soon

Looks so much like a dead video flex to me. Problem is, you need to buy and install a new one to chek if I'm right or no. So the best you can do is take your lap to a repair center and let them do the checking and repair.

Of course, the bleeding on the screen could also be a dying video chip...

that could be a number of things. you may have caused a boot error when you powered down the laptop incorrectly. you can find screens out there for laptops for around 100 bucks and they are not overly difficult to replace. your better off replacing the screen so you can see exactly what is going on with the laptop. when you start it what do the caps lock lights and num lock lights on the caps and num keys do? do you hear any beep codes? check in bios and see if there is a way to manually disable the screen on your laptop. I doubt there is but it is worth a shot.
