desktop speakers popping

I have an Alienware x51 and just recently bought a surround sound system by Logitech. I have had the system hooked up about a week now, and the the 'rear' speakers are making a popping/clicking/static noise every so often. Should i be taking the speakers back or is it a software issue?

same thing, but I think I have somewhat solved the issue. I was listening to pandora, but no listening to iTunes, I have yet to hear it. however, I have skeptical of this being a 'fix'

If the speakers aren't working properly with two different pc's then there's something wrong with them. Any loose connections or worn wires on them?
