Hi Guys,

Need your help choosing a budget laptop for gaming, I would like to play the latest games like Battlefield 4, NFS Rivals. I don't mind playing in low/ medium settings @ 800x600 or 1024x600 resolution. I don't mind as long its smooth.

So my question is can I play those games smoothly on LENOVO G510,
The configuration of the laptop is:
Core i5 (4th Gen) 2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology Upto 3.1 GHz 3MB Cache
4 GB DDR3 RAM Upto 16 GB
1366 x 768 Pixel LED Display 15.6 inch
500 GB HDD
ATI Sunpro 8570 2 GB Dedicated DDR3
Price $600 - $700 Approx
BUDGET $750 - $800

I am not from US.

If you have any other laptop at same budget please feel free to suggest.

Thank you for your time.
Any suggestions or answers will be highly appreciated.

but I personally feel i5 is stronger than any A10 processor. No offense. and saw the reviews of G505s, not that good compared to G510. well my budget is $750 to $800 and I am not from USA. thank you and what do you have to suggest now?

Sure that's what you could find the best in yr country? I live in a country which is the USA's neighbor (north of USA), a couple days ago I recommend one of my bud to go for an Acer laptop which has A10-5757M APU and HD 8750M gfx (and it only cost 600 bucks). Ur budget in USA and Canada could get a decent lenovo laptop which has also i5 or i7 CPU with GT 755M gfx (and that's way much stronger than HD 8570M)

Yes A10 CPU is way weaker than i5 but considering gaming also need decent GPU support, so if ur budget is tight u may have to manage to balance both cpu and gpu performance. For example, another of my friend has a 2011 laptop with A6-3400M APU (but manage to maintain the freq to 2.6Ghz) and HD 6720G2 crossfire graphic. That CPU is way weaker than A10-5750M and nonetheless i5 4th gen but the crossfire HD 6650M and HD 6520G is impressive. He could play BF4 and Crysis 3 with 1366*768 smoothly in medium settings and still good in high setting (just a little bit lag but not much a problem), and that rig cost him only 550 bucks and it's not a second hand when he purchase it.

So...it's ur call anyway.
