Is it possible to connect stereo speakers to PC with wires from old headphones ?

do you mean use the 3.5mm cable, strip it and put the two wires into the rear of two home theater or hifi speakers?

yeah, unless they are some very small speakers (or are self powered) that would be a big no.

to use a pair of speakers meant for home audio typically you would need an amplifier. some are as cheap as $20 and you could use a 3.5mm cable to connect to your pc.

thanks do you maybe know how much power does a speaker jack put out? my stereo speaker use 10W max

list the brand and model of the speaker(s). unless you do we can only offer generalized advice.

does your speaker have its own power cord or not?

if it doesnt have a power cord then your pc might not be able to connect direct. unpowered pc speakers are normally 2-5w or so. pc speakers which are 10w typically have ac plugs. without a plug you will likely need a really cheap amplifier.

if it does have its own power plug then i wouldnt see a problem.
