I recently purchased the Sennheiser G4ME ZERO headset along with a xonar DG sound card and well too my surprise this roughly $300 setup doesn't sound an ounce better than my Steelseries Siberia V2 Frost which I purchased for roughly $120. So the question I am asking myself at this point is do I just not have this sound card setup properly or are my ears this bad that I can't tell the different between a $100 headset and a $300 headset. Since the later aren't a pair of beats by dre I assumed I was getting what I payed for but at this point I would rather buy 3 of the siberia headsets if the sound quality isn't any better.

Side note the version of the V2 that I got had a built in sound card in the usb which could of helped it but I would assume the Xonar DG is better than a usb integrated card?

Hi DYST The Impedence is 40 Ohms on the Steelseries Siberias...and is 150 Ohms on the Seenheisers.... You may need to check the gain settings on your sound card and make sure the proper impedence is set so it sends more juice to amplify them. The higher the Ohms usually the more powerful amp is needed to give them their full potential.. just make sure u get the right setting as you do not want to go into the bracket over the one u should have as this may damage them. this should make them sound better. It looks like on that particular soundcard t is called HP advanced settings http://www.asus.com/Sound_Cards_and_DigitaltoAnalog_Converters/Xonar_DG/

Good luck Hope this helps.
