Everything was working fine on Thursday, however, yesterday and now today my speakers are making this crackling type of noise even when I plug my headphones in. I have had this computer for about a year. I really need my speakers to work for school purposes. Please help!

Try reinstalling the drivers. A specific model number will help to find the correct drivers for your system.

A driver installation is pretty simple, so long as you've found the correct drivers. You won't lose any data so long as you don't accidentally download a virus. What's the model number? The model number can be found under the battery.
