I built a new system with a 120 gig ssd and a 1tb mech. hd. I am currently using Google Chrome. I wanted to change where Chrome stores temporary internet files and for that matter all browsing data but 1 how to says that I have to go into the registry to do this. I am uncomfortable changing registry settings. Is there an advantage to relocating where Chrome puts this stuff to the larger mech. hd? If so a link to a good how to would be appreciated.

:hello:

Kindly I ask your attention.

Create on the disk where you want Chroom to put it's Temp Files a folder ChromeCache, or as subfolder of Temp. This in case you want more programs to do so, in Temp you can create folders by program use if you like.

Right click on the Google Chrome icon.
in Target field add: --disk-cache-dir="R:\ChromeCache"

at the end of the line, just after "....\chrome.exe"

"R:\ChromeCache" is for example it is on my system, you should change it to your path where you want to store the cache.

I hope this will help.

No registry changes, only a Path change.

Hopefully I let you known enough, that you will find the answers you seek! :)

Good luck & have fun doing it! :)
