Hi I own a Mythlogic W230ST notebook mainly for travelling for work and playing games on business trip. I just had a Samsung 256 Msata Evo 240 die on me so I purchased another to replace it. But Someone told me that my drive didn't die just had corrupted files. So I am currently thinking of the following - (I have all HD already so no need to get anything new)

Option I
Samsung evo 840 Msata 256 raid O as OS + 1T 7200 HD as data ( can even do a constant backup of Raid 0 drive either real time or once a day.

Option 2
Samsung evo 840 Msata 256G OS + Msata 256G games + 1T 7200 for data

Thank you. I only play starcraft II and BF4 thanks.

If you only play those two games then you really don't need a entire SSD dedicated to them alone. Also, I don't think the EVO comes in 256 GB, so do you have an EVO or an 840 Pro?

This laptop doesn't have a dedicated RAID controller. Instead, RAID is handled by software on this laptop, which is less reliable. I don't personally recommend it, especially since RAID 0 performance probably won't quite be what you expect or hope it will be.

Originally I had the Samsung Msata drive running Win 7 enterprise 64bit and 1T 7200 HD storing less important programs and data.

Did I answer your question?

No what happened that made you think it died/corrupted?
