His birthday is coming and he wants a laptop. I was looking at the Dell Inspiron M531R. Is it fast? Can the APU run games?

It's not fast, but it should be good enough for medium and low settings on most games.

Well it's a bit tough to recommend anything in that price range for gaming. This would be a little better for gaming but might cost you a bit more
