Hello everyone,
To sum up my problem: I have a Dell 7520 15R SE notebook with switch able graphics, the HD 7730M and the integrated HD 4000. The idea is, it should switch between both the GPUs whilst gaming, for example a game like Diablo would use the 7730M since it's more of a demanding application. I updated to windows 8.1 a while back (unfortunately) and it has seemed to of messed up my applications. The graphics will not switch at all even if I play games such as Skyrim etc.
I can see the 7730M is present alongside the HD 4000 in "device manager" and dxdiag.
I've tried many different solutions to no avail:
1) I've updated my 7730M drivers to the latest version from DELLs website - Didn't work.
2) That didn't work so I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD - Didn't work.
3) Updated my HD 4000 drivers - Didn't work.
4) Updated my BIOS and firmwire - Didn't work.
5) Updated general settings using the windows facility - Didn't work
6) Downloaded the latest version of Catalyst Control Center - Didnt work
7) Manually put the GPU to high-performance using CCC for Skyrim or PoE - Didn't work
8) Downloaded miscellaneous drivers from the Dell website - Didnt Work
Anyone help would be TRULY appreciated, this problem is giving me such a headache! Alternatively if anyone can think of any suggestions this would be hugely helpful
