Acer aspire Laptop frozen

My laptop was slammed down on a table while it was turned on and running a video program. Now it will not boot up. The screen tells me disc read error, hold control-alt-delete. Is this fixable?

there is a chance hhd connection to sata has goten loose!there is also a chance due to high verical g force hdd got damaged. you have to open the back of the laptop hdd case and make sure hhd is securely hooked up, if still not recognised then probably damaged.
