Yes I know, the other one has a fan but other one doesn't....

Right now, I am considering to keep my 1.3ghz e2- 3800 (with fan) quad core laptop for a
1.86 ghz (without fan) quad core celeron laptop.... Is it worth it?

Do laptops even need fans or is it just a necessity....?

Nevertheless, being the fanless, is it more prone to overheat and die much quicker than the fanless laptop? And thank you for taking your time to read my question and hopefully answering it!

it depends on the CPU and GPU... if one has a dedicated video card, it almost always has a fan to cool it.

if it uses onboard video or CPU video processing, typically they don't need it.

But then, its a laptop...... Well if it has that Intel HD, would it also have dedicated gpu?
