1. Acer V5-573 15,6"
Specs:

CPU - Intel core i5-4200U (2 cores, 4 virtualized cores, 1.6GHz, boost 2.6GHz
GPU - nVidia GeForce GT 750M 4G DDR3
4 GB DDR3 RAM
Screen: 15.6“ IPS Full HD (1920x1080) Acer CineCrystal LED

2. Asus X550LB 15,6"
Specs:

CPU - Intel® Core i7-4500U 1.8GHz
GPU - nVidia GeForce GT740 2GB
4 GB DDR3 RAM
Screen: 15.6“ HD LED (1366x768)

(both cost 699.00 euros a.k.a 966 dollars)

I'd like to know which games these could run, and on what settings. Skyrim maybe? Gaming is not solely the reason i need to buy a laptop though - i'm moving around alot and this desktop im using right now is useless for me. Also please don't recommend any other laptops for me - these are the only ones i get a discount on, and can pay in instalments.

thank you.

Ah. It's really hard to choose just because it seems like even with the discount they're asking quite a lot for those set ups, though admittedly I don't know a whole lot about laptop prices, and even less about what their prices are outside the states. A quick check on benchmark shows that a GT 750M will run Skyrim at max settings at just under 60 fps @ 1080p, however, the 740 struggles to even reach 40 fps for Skyrim @ 1366x768. If these are truly your only two options, the first one is the better of the two, but I really think you could find a better set up for the same, if not less money, though...

Oh and those benchmark numbers are without mods, so I have no idea how well either of those cards would handle mods.

Thanks man. Well i'd be happy if it'd reach 30-40 fps on high settings @ 1080p, i'm not trying to reach max settings anyway for this budget. I'm not intrested in mods And yeah these are sadly my only options, i will go with the Acer then.

Honestly depends on what you're doing. It could be, but I think it should be fine for things like Skyrim. If you were wanting to do video rendering and stuff as well, then yes, both of them would be compared to like an i7-4700MQ.
