Hi so I bought a gaming mouse with a DPI switch for the first time in my life. However when I press the DPI switch I'm not sure what DPI the mouse is at. Are there any programmes that tell you this information or a section in control panel I'm overlooking?

What mouse is it? Most gaming mouses have software that can tell you this and it can usually be found on the manufacturer's website.

It's a generic chinese one I got off of ebay. It says that the max DPI is 1600 but I'm a bit skeptical for the price.

Do you think if I tried the software from different manufacturers I'd eventually find one that could work with my mouse?

Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it.

Okay, I'll at least give it a shot. I don't really know many mice manufacturers though, could you suggest a few?
