I have a 1st generation Vaio SE with 1 GB of AMD 6600M graphics dual booting Linux Mint and Win7. I had just updated the graphics driver from the AMD website and after a reboot the system was running great, a little warm but it's been far worse. Put it on suspend for about 20 minutes and then when I opened it up it shut off unexpectedly and no longer turns on even when plugged into a power adapter, which is on. One of the fans on the system is running constantly regardless of whether or not I'm pressing the power button, and the charging status indicator is working, nothing else is turning on. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
