Every time I turn on my Sony Vaio C series laptop.... it gets stuck on the "Vaio" screen. I tried pressing F2, F7 & F8... and nothing. I have used only the battery... only the AC Adapter but still no luck. After I opened up the computer and inspect the motherboard and HDD i did not see any cracks or anything out of line. Does any one have any ideas and what else I can try?

taking out the cMOS battery and letting it sit out for a couple minutes, put it back in, and try booting.
