I have been trying to re-install windows 8 using a bootable usb version as disk did not come with Laptop. and keep getting message "No signed drivers available"

ok. I would download ALL the win8 drivers found here... during the windows install it should give you an option to install drivers, use that option to install chipset drivers http

Make sure you download all the drivers available there, you'll likely need them all before you're done, but you'll need the chipset and any sata/raid/storage drivers in order to install windows.
