I used to have a regular password that i always used to log unto my Acer laptop. but one day, i tried using this same password to log on and its giving me this message...'The user Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded'. I have been using the guest profile i created to browse for the past 4 months now. Kindly assist me with my password please because i don't know why my password is being rejected now

OP: The issue is NOT your password, a PROFILE (look up the dictionary) is the settings and way you have things for your 'account', which has been corrupted. You SHOULD have restarted the computer, pressing F8 when you see BIOS and enter the SAFE MODE to do a SYSTEM RESTORE to before this problem occured, but now you waited 4 Months and this is NOT a option.

YOUR ONLY SOLUTION AT THIS POINT: Use the computer restore disks to restore the computer back to FACTORY settings when you first took it out of the store box. Your PC is hosed up, and this would be the simplest way to 'start over'.

OP: Tom's Hardware DOES NOT provide PASSWORD CRACKING. As far as we know this is some stolen PC that someone is trying to get on to get at the person's CC#s and so forth.

Hi

This can occasionally happen to users if a critical file or registry gets corrupted

If you google the error mesage you will find the solution at Microsoft

one post

the second one is the one I followed to help a friend
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215

This is a warning to create a spare Full user account and use a restricted user account for every day use
( keep the passwords in a safe safe)

You do not need to do a system restore and a roll back may not work

There is no need to assume Oke is trying to hack the password

@Mike : The OP has ignored this issue for 4 months, pushing any recovery method out the window to using System Restore or Repair (these are overwritten after so long). Hacking the registry when the OP can't understand what a 'profile' is and insist on Password Recovery as a solution is NOT the best advise and would lead to more confusion and issues for "Joe user" I have found over the years, but maybe he might luck out with those technical instructions. Lastly the OP ASK to hack the password "Kindly assist me with my password please because i don't know why my password is being rejected now" - THIS is a violation of Tom's Hardware Forum Policy.
