I made alot of pictures using my camera at holiday. So my pictures are on the camera but when i connect the sd card using USB cabl or reader to the pc and open the file it says the file is empty. And I'm sure that the pictures are on the sd card because when i remove the sd card from the camera i find no pictures on the camera anymore. so what should i do?

Sarraah,

The folder on the card that contains the pictures may be hidden. If you're on Windows 7 or 8, all you need to do is head to the folder options in Windows Explorer (Organize - > Folder and search options), then click on the View tab, and select "Show hidden files and folders."

Hopefully then it shows up. :)

if it is detected u can use to recover photos with Recuva (a recovery software) , let me know if it worked.....
or else the card will be locked , look on the side of memory card for a kind of switch there

I have had similar problems..I have had about 9 digital camera in the past years, including 2 DSLR's...I used to purchase my chips from ebay and ran into several cheap counterfeit chips where the capacity was not what it says on the chip..they work in the camera but not on the pc (card reader)..the pc manages to corrupt the chip in unknown ways...I have lost parts of my data and all of my data...you may be able to recover you data using some free software out there, but I have never been able to...there are also some companies that specialize in recovery (super-expensive)...there is also software out there that detect counterfeit chips...for the past few years, I purchase all chips from Adorama, B&H, or Amazon and transfer from the camera rather than the chip reader (chip is not handled or disturbed)...a far reach, but there is a option on my Nikon DSLR that hides images so that they cannot be viewed without unhiding them in camera 1st..good luck!
