Ok so I had a big problem. Neighbor sucks and I can't watch any TV after 11pm, so I turned to headphones.
But, my TV has no headphone jack, neither does my PS3, or my soundbar+subwoofer system. The only thing hooked up to my TV that does have such jack is my PC.
But, I watch stuff mostly using the PS3 or my AppleTV, and even if I did do it on the computer, I'd like to have wireless headphones so it wouldn't be a hassle.
So I bought the Parrot Zik. Supposedly the best bluetooth headphones money can buy right now. Awesome. Worked perfectly with my mobile devices...but my PC didn't have bluetooth so I bought the ASUS dongle.
Won't freaking connect. Just won't do it. At all. I've found some threads with a few solutions. Nothing works. Specifying in settings that the device has no screen, turning off Parrot RF something service, uninstalling bluetooth, reinstalling it entirely, then rebooting the PC. Removing the Zik's battery to reset it and putting it back in, I've done pretty much all the troubleshooting there is to be done on this and it just won't work.

Then I read somewhere that ASUS uses some kind of bullshit protocol for BT that the Parrot doesn't accept. What the hell is this now? I thought BT was BT and that was it!!!

Then I tried to use it with my PS3. It gets a little furthere there, it connects. But that's about it. Apparently the Parrot needs A2DP which the PS3 doesn't offer, because Sony wants people to get their own headset that comes with a USB dongle. Well SH*T.

I really love these headphones and I wanna use them on EVERYTHING. What the hell do I do now? Different BT dongle? Buy the DMPORT accessory for my soundbar system so everything that goes through it becomes BT? Will that work? HELP!!!!

Hey baterax. If you ever do find a solution please post it here.

I have a very similar situation.
I have a satellite decoder, a sound bar(Philips Bluetooth), TV, and a zik headset.
WAS HOPING to get a ps3 for gaming, bluray and media player capabilities, and Bluetooth.
ie output sound from my decoder / tv to the playstation, and have that, transmit the sound either to the soundbar or Bluetooth headset.

Heres my problems:
- PS3 does not have audio inputs
- PS3 does not transmit to other Bluetooth headphones anyway( thank you for confirming that)
- My soundbar cant send sound via Bluetooth(it can only receive I assume)

So at the moment, I'm trying to research if there is an alternate gaming platform that will allow me to do this or if there is a standalone media player with this Bluetooth capability(was really hoping not to have too many peripherals hanging around the place though)
