Hi Folks,

I have recently purchased a Sony SVE1513H1EW notebook and it has no actual volume wheel, i am left only with the volume icon in the taskbar and Fn with F2 & 3.

I am running Windows 8.1 64bit

Is there a product out there that maybe connected via USB and just sat on the top of my keyboard for easy volume adjustment? Or maybe even a program that sat on top of all windows at all times, maybe along the bottom of the task bar which wouldnt be quicker and easier to use than the Fn and taskbar options?

Regards

Adam

Alot of laptops use the arrow keys for up and down volume. If yours does it will have a picture of a little speaker with )))) to signifiy the volume up. It requires holding down the function key and the arrow...

For laptops not really, some laptops have little hot keys that are labeled with something that looks like a volume control. normally f1 through f12. Normally you can buy keyboards that have such things like my k70 has a little wheel that I use to adjust the volume. You can also buy things like a mix amp so you can plug your headphones in and then have your system set at a certain volume and then you can adjust the headphone volume through the mix amp which would control how high the sound is that comes out of your headphones.

Yes i love my volume wheel on my Acer AS8950G and I sometimes find myself reaching for it on my new laptop.
