what is wrong with my cousin's 3 asus k53e they all will not charge?

I am trying to fix 3 of my cousins asus k53e's I opened one up to the motherboard. They will not charge and I assume that the powerjack Is broken, but I am not sure, and apparently problems like this are common with the k53e, so is the powerjack the problem, or is it something else I do not know of?

if the power jack is lose then there a broken soilder joint. most time the issue is with the ac brick. broken wires or the output too low. the other issues is the battery chip goes bad. if the chip in the battery goes bad the laptop wont know what the voltage level of the battery. see if his laptop has any battery recalls or class action. you may need to get a new working battery to test each unit.
