I need a fairly cheap, good recording software to record my screen while I play games. I considered Fraps, but my computer can be slow at times and the size of the Fraps video files might slow it up, even after I compress it.
I'm looking at Camtasia, which is £68.60 GBP, but my requirements are:

1) Video files aren't too large
2) Easy to use
3) Good quality and frame rate
4) (Optional but useful) Videos can be uploaded straight to YouTube (if the recording software contains editing too)
5) (Very useful but optional) Contains editing too

So Camtasia at the moment is probably my top choice. Any other suggestions?

Large files = good quality. Smaller files means worse quality (which is also an option with fraps by the way).

I use OBS.. https://obsproject.com/

I like it many.. many of thousands of times better than i like fraps. although fraps is a small program, OBS is not much bigger in terms of computer strain. Check it out.
