My sound has been working perfectly on my computer for over a year, but as of today i cannot get any sound to come out of any device. I have done a system restore, my speakers are set as the default device, and the pop-out from my volume icon in the taskbar shows that sounds are playing with the green bar. But the headphones don't appear to be detected or switched to when plugged in, and the speakers don't disable in the taskbar when unplugged. I've tried several fixes and done everything i can think of. I'm at a loss.
