Fix NTLDR w/o Windows Disk?

I need to address a "NTLDR is missing" error, but I don't have a windows xp CD. The laptop also failed the dst short status test. Is there anything that I can do to fix it w/o the CD or replacing the hard drive?

No there is no way to fix the curupted windows files without the disk that has the files.

Is it a OEM computer or custom built?

You can try torrents to download the correct OEM disc.

Is it by chance a Dell?

Ohh ok, if it was pro I have a disc image for it and there would be nothing illegal or rule violating about me making it available to you.

Since it is home you will have to search torrents or other areas for something like "dell windows xp home"
