In 2008 i bought a hp hdx 9000 Vista 64 bit ...it wasnt cheap 2400+..sent it back twice for repair the first year then it was fine for about 18 mo...started slow boot blue screen ect..the last time it worked i got the blue screen i shut t down waited awhile than rebooted only to be asked for a pass word for the BIOS.. never set one Took the machine and receipt to a couple of shops and was told that it could be the mother board and that the bios was locking me out to protect it self...is that true??that was three years ago the price of mother boards have come down..would a new mother board fix my problem.????
