A friend of mine is having a problem with her Laptop (Sony VAIO VGN-AW11M/H).
Firstly, the battery: it started to charge slowly, stopping and starting, then eventually just stopped charging all together. Sometimes the laptop wouldn't show that there was even a battery plugged in. A new batter was bought (identical model) but it doesn't show up and being plugged in.
Secondly, the power jack: Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems that a random twist and turn gets it to come on but the slightest movement makes it go off again.
With the battery problem and the power jack problem, the laptop just goes off and work gets lost.
Any advice, tips or solutions about what could be causing these issues and how to correct them would be greatly appreciated.
