I am looking for a laptop that can easily run games like IWBTG, spelunky and other simple games like that plus recording software and if possible be able to run NS2 or hawken on low settings and cost $400 or less.

I don't see you getting any brand new "gaming" laptop for under $400. In all honesty, I would look for (or build) a gaming desktop, which you still may not be able to find anything good for under $400. Sorry for your luck.

I agree with GrimPickle. You can either get a better PC under $400 (without the screen probably), or take the chance of buying a time bomb portable oven (that is a used gaming laptop).

YOU ARE MISTAKEN.

Please do not spread false statements.

$350 PC Build (June 2012): https://teksyndicate.com/videos/kill-your-console-350-gaming-pc-june-2012
$450 PC Build (Sep 2013): https://teksyndicate.com/videos/build-450-gaming-pc-kill-your-console-build-one
$600 PC Build (Dec 2013): https://teksyndicate.com/videos/build-650-gaming-pc-dec-2013
$750 PC Build (Oct 2013): https://teksyndicate.com/videos/kill-your-console-build-option-3-750-gaming-pc

PC gaming is superior for a reason.

Checkmate, bruh.

No, they are actually gaming PCs.. The $600 and $750 builds can actually play almost all games at ultra settings at 1080p. I think his purpose is gaming, which is exactly what I listed at the best possible prices.

I know you're saying this because you've made a mistake, but it's fine. The most important thing here is helping OP the best we could.

Don't forget, if he's trying to buy a laptop he probably doesn't have the right peripherals for a desktop build. Those alone would blow through his budget.

This should be able to do some light gaming. http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-11-e015nr-TouchSmart-Notebook/dp/B00H2TDNLK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395885461&sr=8-1&keywords=a6+laptop

There's no way it will be able to play any game at ultra, or even high, but it should get decent frames at medium settings. You won't be able to record on it though. I'd be surprised if you could record on any laptop less than $1000.

This was the statement that you published: "There is no such thing as a gaming anything in the PC world for under $800."
See how you said "gaming anything"? I was only countering it with a proof. Giving the post owner good/better alternatives is always good.

APU based laptops are indeed great for light-medium gaming, and can be found at a great price.
