Quad Core i7 Laptop for Music Production and Video Editing under $1000

Hi

I have been hunting for a good stable Quad Core i7 laptop primarily as my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) with Ableton Live and tons of plugins , design and photography work with Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator and some video editing. Sometimes all these applications all at once

I found some laptops like Lenovo Z510 and Y510, which seem like a good choice but I am not very sure how much performance difference is there between 4700MQ VS 4702MQ when comes heavy processing. I intend to use the laptop for Live Music as well so I really need something stable (please don't suggest a Mac, just because I said Live Music). I am open to anything besides these 2 laptops as well.

Both processors are from the same generations and are almost identical except for their clocks since the 4700MQ is clocked 200 MHz higher that the 4702 MQ. The 4700 MQ hence has a higher single and multi-threaded performance at the cost of a higher TDP and more power consumption (About 8 watts though so I don't think it is something you should worry about). The i7-4950 HQ is one of the best mobile core i7 processors out there, if you can find a laptop within your budget with this processor then you should probably get it.
