Recently purchased a Sony HT-CT260H sound bar to hook to my RCA LED46C45RQ TV. The sound bar blocks the TV's remote sensor and I cannot seem to get the sound bar's built-in remote control signal repeater to work. Using the sound bar's AMP Menu I have turned ON the IR REP function and also turned on the HDMI Pass Through function, but unless the TV remote has a direct line of sight to the TV's remote senser the TV remote does not work. The TV does NOT have a HDMI In (ARC) jack so I had to use a digital optical cable to connect to the sound bar (had to purchase a coaxial to optical digital audio converter to make that work). Have also tried hooking up a HDMI cable from the sound bar's HDMI TV Out jack to one of the TV's HDMI In jacks. Still no luck. The sound bar seems to work fine - just the problem with the TV remote. Other than raising the TV several inches so that the remote sensor is not blocked (or I suppose wall mounting is an option) any ideas on getting the signal repeater funtion to work?

I think I figured out my problem. The signal repeater "sensor" on the sound bar is located on the back side in the middle of the 37" long unit. The TV's remote control sensor is located at the far lower left corner of the TV set. So unless you significantly offset the sound bar to the left side of the TV in order for it to pick up the repeat signal from the sound bar, the TV remote will not work. Looks pretty silly. Guess I'm back to raising the TV set up a couple of inches.
