I'm looking to spend around 500 euros/700USD/450GBP but I can go a bit over if it is worth the price. I'd like a relatively portable laptop, but not too small, as I'd like to do some medium gaming on recent games. I don't really mind about the resolution, whatever is the standard medium budget these days. I'm looking for a laptop for college/university, so it needs to be portable to an extent. I also need a good battery life, as I need to take it around to lecture halls... I will want to play games on my laptop. I have purchased Star Citizen, and I'd like to be able to run it, if that is possible, on medium graphics. I will need upwards of 500 GB to store films and games and an optical drive. I live in Spain but I can also purchase in the UK, Thailand or Hong Kong, if any of those are any better for buying laptops.
Is it possible to find a laptop which suits these requirements? Or am i being too optimistic?
Thanks,
Esxu

I think it'll be hard to run Star Citizen on any laptop in that budget cause the highest I could find was a GT720M and that isn't sufficient too run star citizen (It barely runs Thief at low settings) so according to me you'd have to increase your budget quite a bit to be able to run it (As they recommend minimum 460GTX ). That being said the best laptop I have found is http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Lenovo_G505s_AMD_A10_Quad_Core_6GB_1TB_Windows_8.1_Gaming_Laptop__59408360/version.asp

You'd have to stretch your budget by 40 pounds though.

Construkt, those two laptops have a much higher price in the UK...
If I edit my question, and say I don't need to game on my laptop, which would you recommend?
