Title says it all. My Mom's looking to buy a new pc, but there are so many out there that I was hoping you guys could help me thin the herd. Here are my thoughts:
1. Cheaper is better, of course.
2. I think she would like the easy access and tech support of a prebuilt computer rather than having me build her one.
3. While a desktop is an option, I think she would appreciate the mobility of a laptop. The only downside is that it wouldn't upgrade for as long as a desktop, and I think she would want to use the same computer for many years to come.
4. She likes to be able to find her way around easily, she's used to Windows, and touch screens kind of annoy her, so I'm thinking a Windows 7 PC would be ideal (or at least something close to it) as that would lessen the learning curve for her.
5. If it is a laptop, it would be a huge plus if it could also plug straight into the internet modem, as she doesn't always have wifi.
