Best Laptop Under $400?

I've got a little over $300 to spend on a new laptop for school, does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap laptop?

I've searched and found a few that I'm considering, but would love a second opinion!

Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5380 or any other model
HP 2000-2b09WM Fusion E-300
Lenovo G585
Gateway NE56R34u
Dell Inspiron 15 i15RV-619

My advice is to say away from any laptop with an AMD E series APU, they are simply pathetically slow.

That leaves the Gateway and the Dell laptop which has a Pentium CPU based on slightly dated Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs. The Dell has a more current CPU. While it is a little slower because of the lower clockspeed, but it also uses less power which translate into a little better battery life.
