Whoever told you that is lying through their teeth. 8gb of ram is plenty and having less ram will not "burn your processor". I have 8gb of ram in my laptop and my laptop has better overall specs than yours. I have also owned computers with 4gb, 5gb and 6gb of ram and never had any problems

ok , 8gb for a laptop, but i have a desktop too, and it has 8gb of ram, doo i need to go to 12gb or 16gb to be on the safe side??
i read that u can burn your processor if u have less ram than nesesery...
