So my laptop screen broke, I and bought a new one. I plugged it in and turned it on, and no screen, After researching someone suggested using a light to see if there was a picture, which there was which suggests the LED inverter was shot, After some thinking and research, LED 99% of the time do no need inverters.

So I am stuck. I have no idea what the problem could be.
I have also looked around inside my laptop for inverter which i cannot find for the life of me.
There is a webcam/mic at the top of the bezel which as a wire coming from the display ribbon. but i cannot find one online to check if that is it.

I don't think so, the number was on the screen itself. You said you are a qualified technician, what technical skills do you have?

I can measure voltages and amperes with a DMM. Which I use to check to see if components are blown.
Look, I'm not a laptop specialist, but I have very good idea on what i am doing. My old screen did not have a sticker on the back of the screen, as previously stated. If there was a sticker I would of taken a photo of it.

I have put it back in the box now, the company said they are going to replace it. want me to get it back out and have a look?

You said you can see a faint picture on the screen, but the backlight is off. You can measure the voltage powering the LED at the connector. You measure the pins 38,39,40, they are connected together, you should read between 7 and 20V depending of the brightness.
