Hi,

I bought HP Envy 15t-j100 (Non-touch version) twice and got issues both the time.

The first time, the wifi failed, sent back to HP service center, they did some repair it seems, but the issue still exists after I received it. There are few more issues which I observed in that laptop like system very slow, display drivers issue etc.. So, I returned the laptop (got in Costco).

This time, I ordered the similar laptop directly on HP site, I got the laptop 2 days back and it has some display issues (blurred) and some weird sounds from laptop after chatting with HP customer service, they said its a hardware failure. so, I am planning to return this one as well. I am frustrated with this laptop and HP.(sorry, if it is harsh)

can some one please suggest me a good laptop similar to this.

looking for: 4th gen i7, 1920x1080 resolution (will upgrade to ssd later to save some money)

one on my mind is y510p. looking for other options as well.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure of your price point or use but look into MSI's GP series. I have one of their GT60 2OD gaming laptops and use it every day for work, casual gaming during the week at night, and lanparties every other weekend. Came with a msata drive and 1tb HDD and added 2 more msata drives. Had it for a year now and nothing bad to say about it (except win 8) till I got use to it.

Thanks for the reply faalin. My price range is somewhere b/w $700 to $900.

I checked MSI laptops, it is beyond my budget I have.

I liked the HP for price and with i7-4700MQ, but the downside is so many hardware issues.

I used to have Dell, They are good but want to get something different this time. (but If I was left with no option I will go with Dell - the only problem is they only have I7-4500 process not more than that. I mean 4700MQ which is better than that). The one with 4702 is way beyond my budget.

Which one do you suggest Lenovo Y510p or Asus N550JV-DB71?

Please let me know if you have more options.
